Description:

We are a young and growing church located in [insert name of city/town], Canada, seeking a voluntary Sunday School Teacher to help educate and inspire our children in the ways of the Bible. The Sunday School Teacher will work alongside our leadership team to provide spiritual guidance, mentorship, and support to our children.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and teach engaging and age-appropriate Bible lessons for our children.

2. Create a safe and welcoming environment for all children, regardless of their background or beliefs.

3. Work collaboratively with the leadership team to integrate the Sunday School program into the overall vision and mission of the church.

4. Recruit and train volunteers to assist with Sunday School programs and events.

5. Build relationships with parents and guardians, providing support and resources for families.

6. Attend regular meetings with the church leadership team and provide updates on the Sunday School program.

Qualifications:

1. Passion for working with children and helping them grow in their faith.

2. A deep understanding and knowledge of the Bible.

3. Experience teaching or working with children.

4. Ability to work collaboratively with others and build strong relationships.

5. Strong communication and organizational skills.

6. Ability to pass a criminal record check and observe to our Plan to Protect

7. Fluent in spoken and written English; knowledge of Cantonese and Mandarin languages is an asset

Working Conditions:

This is a voluntary position, and the successful candidate will be expected to commit to a regular schedule of Sunday School programs and events. The position may require some preparation time outside of scheduled events.
